Dragos joined the Board of British American Tobacco p.l.c. on 1 September 2026 as Chief Financial Officer.
He brings considerable finance, business transformation and strategic leadership experience to the Board gained through senior finance, commercial and general management roles across Europe.
Joining the Group in 2002 as a Finance Management Trainee in the Netherlands, Dragos progressed through a variety of finance and leadership positions, culminating in his appointment as Area Director, Central Europe North in 2017.
In 2019, he joined Asahi Europe & International as Managing Director, Romania & Hungary. He later led several European markets before being appointed Chief Executive Officer of Asahi Europe & International in 2025. He rejoined BAT as Chief Financial Officer in September 2026.
