BAT wins Tricentis innovation award for pioneering use of Agentic AI

28 OCTOBER 2026

BAT has won the Tricentis Customer Innovation Award for AI Trailblazer at Transform 2026 Europe , selected from a strong field of finalists

The award recognises BAT’s pioneering use of Agentic AI in Quality Engineering and its work to turn an initial proof of concept into a repeatable blueprint for wider enterprise adoption.

Using Tricentis Agentic Test Automation, the project converted natural-language and manual SAP testing steps into initial automation scripts, which were then reviewed and validated by experts. The proof of concept covered 12 business-critical scenarios and 423 manual process steps, achieving 100% initial script generation and indicating an approximately 70% acceleration in effort.

This approach shows how BAT is embracing the power of technology to simplify business processes, improve efficiency and support faster, higher-quality delivery, while maintaining appropriate governance and human oversight.

The recognition reflects BAT’s broader ambition to become a future-fit, data-driven organisation, using AI and other digital technologies to reduce complexity and improve the effectiveness of our operations.

It is the third consecutive year that BAT has received recognition from Tricentis for innovation.
