BAT wins Digital Transformation Award at Verdantix Transform Summit

26 MARCH 2026

BAT is pleased to announce that it has been named the winner of the Digital Transformation Award at the Verdantix Transform Summit, recognising the company’s leadership in applying advanced digital technologies to accelerate sustainability and climate progress.

The award - part of the Summit’s prestigious C‑suite recognition programme - celebrates organisations that are setting new benchmarks for digitally enabled sustainability performance.

Jonathan Upward, Group Head of Sustainability at BAT, said:

“This achievement is testament to the strong collaboration across BAT and our strategic partners, and it highlights our continued commitment to building the digital capabilities that underpin our sustainability ambitions and support long term value creation.”

The recognition reflects the development of BAT’s Digital Sustainability Control Tower, an integrated platform that enables more efficient, data‑driven reporting across key sustainability areas, including climate, deforestation and wider environmental metrics. Key innovations include the automation of Scope 3 data across a large and growing dataset, driving greater accuracy, transparency and operational efficiency.
