We’re transforming tobacco with a choice of products
Our growing range of potentially reduced-risk products includes our vapour and tobacco heating products, and our modern and traditional oral products, which include oral tobacco and nicotine products.
It is widely acknowledged that most of the harm associated with conventional cigarettes is caused by the toxicants in the smoke produced by the burning of tobacco.
That is why we are dedicated to the development and commercialisation of alternative tobacco and nicotine products that don’t burn tobacco to deliver nicotine to the user.
Our portfolio of potentially reduced-risk products (PRRPs) within our Strategic Portfolio now comprises four product categories:
We’re setting ourselves ambitious, but achievable targets: we aim for revenue from THP, vapour and modern oral to reach £5billion by 2023/24.
Following our acquisition of Reynolds American Inc. in 2017, we are now one of the world’s leading vapour companies.
Vype, our flagship vapour brand, is now present in most major vaping products markets. We launched our first Vype product in 2013 and today our range provides a choice of different types of vaping systems.
In the US, R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company was formed in 2012 and now offers market-leading Vuse digital vapour products.

Our flagship tobacco heating product – glo – was designed in the UK through a process that involved more than 100 experts across five continents, including scientists, engineers, product designers, tobacco specialists and toxicologists.
We launched glo in Japan in December 2016 and we’re pleased with the progress it’s made since then and in its other launch markets.
We also have glo iFuse, a hybrid electronic device which combines tobacco heating and vaping technology and is available in Romania.

We have long sold snus in Sweden and Norway, and further enhanced our range with the purchase of Winnington, the maker of Epok in 2017. Following the acquisition of Reynolds American Inc. in July 2017, we significantly increased the size of our oral tobacco and nicotine products range with the addition of leading snus and moist snuff brands in the U.S.
