The recent recognition of BAT as a Global Top Employer was our third employer-related accolade in a matter of weeks.
These awards acknowledge how BAT is building A Better Tomorrow™ for all employees by fostering a culture where everyone is encouraged to develop and grow in a diverse and inclusive environment. We are committed to creating a workplace where people feel empowered, where they belong and can be their best and authentic selves.
Last week we were named as a Global Top Employer for the fourth successive year – one of just 16 companies to receive the honour in 2021. Global Top Employer status is based on an extensive review of employer practices across topics including Talent Strategy; Performance Management and Learning & Development.
Hae In Kim, Director, Talent, Culture and Inclusion, said: “Receiving Global Top Employer certification for the fourth-year running is a fantastic achievement as it acknowledges our commitment to creating an inclusive and innovative working environment that our employees enjoy being a part of.”
For the second consecutive year, our U.S. subsidiary Reynolds American Inc., scored 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The CEI is the U.S’s foremost benchmarking survey and report, measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality. By scoring 100%, Reynolds is again designated by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.
“Across every aspect of our business, we boldly embrace diversity as a key pillar of our Ethos,” said Guy Meldrum, Reynolds American Inc. President & CEO. “Our organisation is rich with talent, and everyone is encouraged to be their authentic selves as we work to build A Better Tomorrow.”
We were named as a 2021 “Best Place To Work” in the UK by employment specialists, Glassdoor.
This award is particularly special to BAT as it is based real people giving real feedback, with employees submitting their perspectives via the Glassdoor platform.
In the list of top companies , BAT was hailed for: “Friendly and intelligent people. Very much a people-focused organisation. Interesting and well-funded science.”
