I joined BAT in 1988 because I was excited about being part of a truly global and successful company and all the potential opportunities that it could bring. I have had some amazing experiences, constantly learning and developing as a leader, and forming enduring relationships with people from an incredibly diverse range of countries and cultures, something that is a hallmark of BAT.
Having an efficient supply chain that delivers superior brands and innovations to consumers worldwide has been at the heart of our success in combustibles – and the same capability is just as important as we transform our supply chain to support the roll-out of potentially reduced-risk products to more and more countries.
My role today is to engage and inspire all my teams in Operations around the fundamental role we play in BAT’s success and to deliver for the business.
This encapsulates what I have always enjoyed about working for BAT: knowing that you can make a difference in the company and experiencing the satisfaction and reward when you do. We all like doing something special and you have that opportunity at BAT.
I am proud of our world-class supply chain for our combustible tobacco products and the trusted partnerships we have forged over the decades with our thousands of farmers and suppliers around the world.
The supply chain for our new categories is very different to our traditional supply chain because it’s more fragmented and we’re building partnerships with new suppliers in fields such as consumer electronics. But it’s exciting too – fast-paced, innovative and here at BAT we learn fast and deliver.
I am married with three grown-up children. I love diving and I also have a big interest in underwater videography and trying to capture the wonderful sights beneath the surface of the sea. I also enjoy travelling, DIY and gardening.
