Our leadership team
BAT’s Management Board, chaired by our Chief Executive, is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the Group’s strategy and policies set by the Board, and for creating the framework for the day-to-day operation of the Group’s operating subsidiaries.
Jack became Chief Executive on 1 April 2019. He joined the Group in 2004 and became Chairman of BAT France in 2005. Jack joined the Management Board as Regional Director for Western Europe in 2009.
Tadeu became Finance Director on 5 August 2019. He joined the Group in 1992 and joined the Management Board as Director, Business Development in 2014.
Jerome was appointed Director, Legal and External Affairs and General Counsel in May 2015, having joined the Management Board as Group Corporate and Regulatory Affairs Director in January 2015.
Marina became Director, Digital and Information, a new role on the Management Board, on 1 January 2019.
Luciano joined the Management Board as Regional Director, Americas and Sub-Saharan Africa (AmSSA) on 1 January 2019. He was previously Regional Head of Marketing for AmSSA.
Alan joined the Management Board as Group Operations Director in March 2013, having previously been Group Head of Supply Chain. He joined BAT in 1988. Following the Company's announcement of 19 January 2021, Alan will step down as Director, Operations on 31 January 2021 and will leave the Group on 31 May 2021.
Michael joined the BAT Management Board on 1 September 2020 in the role of Regional Director, Asia-Pacific and Middle East. He was previously Area Director for Asia-Pacific and Global Travel Retail.
Hae In joined the Management Board as Director, Talent and Culture Designate on 1 January 2019. She became Director, Talent and Culture on 1 April 2019. Her role title changed to Director, Talent, Culture and Inclusion on 1 November 2020.
Paul became Director, New Categories, a new role on the Management Board, on 1 January 2019. He was most recently Regional Marketing Manager, Asia-Pacific and Middle East.
Guy was appointed as President and CEO of Reynolds American Inc. on 1 September 2020, having joined the Management Board as Regional Director, Asia-Pacific and Middle East on 1 January 2019.
David was appointed Director, Scientific Research on 1 January 2019, having joined the Management Board as Group Scientific Director in 2012.
Johan was appointed Regional Director, Europe and North Africa on 1 January 2019. He joined the Management Board in 2014 and has held a range of roles within BAT.
Kingsley was appointed Chief Marketing Officer on 1 January 2019. He joined the Management Board in 2012 and has held various roles since then.
