Trial our environmental scorecard with strategic suppliers by end 2011.
For tobacco leaf supply
Introduce requirements for our leaf suppliers to meet minimum performance thresholds in their Social Responsibility in Tobacco Production assessment scores by end 2011; and
Aim for zero use of natural forest for directly contracted farmers’ curing fuels by end 2015.
For manufacturing
Extend our third party manufacturing assessments to include water by end 2011; and
Undertake a feasibility review of renewable energy to help identify potentially suitable manufacturing locations and technologies by end 2011.
For logistics
Roll out our energy and CO2e assessments for warehouses across the Group by end 2012; and
Roll out our programme to improve fuel efficiency across all Group Trade Marketing & Distribution teams by end 2012.
