British American Tobacco Russia is one of the leaders of Russia's tobacco industry with a market share of approximately 19 per cent. The business in Russia has three manufacturing sites in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Saratov.

British American Tobacco Russia has been one of the pioneers of sustainability and social reporting in Russia and has a longstanding programme of stakeholder dialogue. In 2009, it held two stakeholder dialogue sessions: the first on how it can further improve its environmental initiatives and work with local communities, and the second on the issue of public place smoking.

The business has a number of initiatives in place that are helping to ensure that sustainability is embedded.
