British American Tobacco Malaysia is a listed company on the Malaysian Stock Exchange. It has approximately 60 per cent market share and employs about 1,600 people who are involved in the full spectrum of the tobacco industry, from leaf buying and processing to manufacturing, marketing and distribution.

British American Tobacco Malaysia has previously produced its own local Social Reports. It plays an active role in attempts to reduce the amount of illicit tobacco products in the country and, in 2009, undertook a series of stakeholder dialogue sessions to address the issue with other interested parties.
