Until the end of 2008 the Group was organised into five regions: Africa and Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean, America-Pacific, Asia-Pacific and Europe.

From 1 January 2009, the regions were reorganised as Africa and Middle East, Americas, Asia-Pacific, Eastern Europe and Western Europe. Canada became part of the Americas region and Japan became a part of the Asia-Pacific region.

Due to the method used to collect data for this measure, 2008 figures are displayed in line with the previous regional structure.
