In April 2008 we launched our research and development website – bat-science.com
. We believe science should be judged on its merits and we welcome input from and collaboration with scientists who have an interest in tobacco-related research or in a related discipline.
The website is written by scientists for scientists and covers tobacco science and our research. Its purpose is not to debate the issues around our products or tobacco itself. You can read our views on these issues, our approach to business, working with regulators and many other subjects elsewhere here on our corporate website.
The challenges we face in understanding and in working to reduce the health risks posed by tobacco products are complex and span many scientific disciplines. We value the support and views of independent scientists and public health professionals in tackling this vast area of research.
We think it is essential that we share our scientific research and findings widely, so our science website is designed to provide scientists with an overview of our current research and development programmes, our research data and our recently published papers and posters.
